关于“IT投资是否能提高企业生产率”这一命题，学界一直众说纷纭，一个很重要的原因在于这些研究建立在IT投资能对企业生产率产生直接影响的假设前提之上，而忽略了IT作用于企业生产率的中间过程。IT投资必须与企业内部生产环境相吻合才能提高企业生产率，IT投资转化为企业生产率的影响因素包括内部因素和外部因素，其中内部因素包括企业管理特征、企业员工特征及企业结构特征；外部因素指的是企业所面临的外部环境。

Up to now, scholars in IT circle have still not reached a consensus regarding the proposition whether IT investment can improve enterprise productivity, an important reason for which lies in the fact that all the studies conducted by these scholars were based on the assumption that IT investment can exert a direct impact on enterprise productivity, while ignoring the middle process between IT investment and its impact. IT investment must be appropriate for the internal production environment so as to improve enterprise productivity. Factors influencing the transformation from IT investment into enterprise productivity fall into two categories： internal and external. Internal factors include feature of enterprise management, feature of enterprise employee and feature of enterprise structure; external factors refer to the outside environment of enterprise.
