The definition and classification issues of dynamic frequency are presented and discussed.The requirements of dynamic frequency analysis in electrical power industry are analyzed.The characteristics and adaptability of different frequency analysis and modeling methods,including full-state numerical simulation method,one-machine equivalent method,and the methods based on artificial intelligence,are analyzed and compared.Some special modeling issues when simulating large frequency deviations are emphasized.The latest developments of transient frequency deviation security assessment and frequency stability analysis are reviewed.Knowledge learning from wide-area frequency data are summarized,and the potential applications of wide-area frequency signals are discussed.Several key issues in dynamic frequency field are presented.
