This article illustrates the importance of the course aquatic ecology and the necessity of combination of theory and practice in teaching this course in aquiculture specialty. Teaching methods of how to realize combination of theory and practice are gut forward. The authors suggest that the teaching content should be combined with practice and also with hetspot topics of the society; the student should be encouraged to combine what they loarn with practice in the class and take pact in practice actively with the guidance of the teacher out the class; the content and the manner of the test should also be improved.
