使用外观观察、开路电位以及线性极化电阻等方法研究了聚苯胺对碳钢腐蚀的阻化作用.尽管质子化的聚苯胺具有导电性,使线性极化电阻低于相应的对照样品,但质子化的聚苯胺在碳钢和电解液间形成的阻档层的作用,使质子化的聚苯胺也显示出一些阻止腐蚀作用.从线性极化电阻以及外观观察的结果可以看出,0%质子化的聚苯胺表现出好的阻化作用,其主要作用是腐蚀过程从均匀腐蚀变化成局部点蚀.这可能是该化合物被溶解在水溶液中,提供一种完全的阻化作用,并以某种方式在与钢接触的表面保持该物质具有较高的浓度.

Inhibitive effects of polyaniline (PANI) for the corrosion of mild steel were studied using visual observation, open circuit potential (OCP) and linear polarisation resistance (LPR). The protonated PANI can provide little inhibition as a result of PANI barrier between mild steel and the electrolyte, even though linear polarisation resistance (LPR) is lower than the corresponding control sample on account of the conduction of protonated polyaniline. The 0% protonated PANI showed well inhibitive effects in terms of polarisation resistance and visual observation in the appearance of the corrosion processes, changing from uniform to a local pitting regime. It may be that this compound is dissolved in aqueous solution to provide complete inhibition and some means may be needed to place a higher concentration of this material in contact with the steel surface.
