Based on the authors' own research and other Chinese and overseas research,physiological change of perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) under various adverse conditions,including drought,cold,hot,and heavy metal conditions,was systematically addressed.Research prospects for the physiological ecological of perennial ryegrass were discussed.In particular,it is suggested that resistance mechanisms to environmental stresses and related aspects in molecular biology in the future,in order to expand Perennial ryegrass research and provide scientific basis for its utilization.
