体育是学校教育的重要组成部分，但其在基础教育中长期处于边缘状态。尤其在广大农村地区，受多种教育资源的制约，体育与健康教育在农村学校中的缺失更为严重。2011年，国家下发了《义务教育体育与健康课程标准》，并要求于2012年秋季学期开始在全国执行。农村学校在课程标准的实施中面临着诸多问题与困难，但同时也具有自身的优势。本文在分析了遵义市农村学校体育与健康课程现状的基础上，提出了农村学校在《体育与健康课程标准》实施中的一些建议。
