The damaged structure repaired with bonded composite patch is a multilayer complex system, including damaged plate, adhesive and composite patch. It can be characterized by two kinds of mechanical models, which are analytic model and numerical model. The development and current status of the two kinds of models are discussed in detail in this paper. The main contents of this subject are also reviewed, as well as its further development process.
