Branched carbon nanotubes (BCNTs) show patient applications on micro/nano electrical devices. A series of BCNTs preparation methods are introduced, and its different growth mechanisms are investigated. At the same time, the influencing factors on branching carbon nanotubes are analyzed emphatically. Finally, the future in this field is also prospected.
