This paper analyzes the development of wireless sensor networks in coal mine, and analysis of key issues for wireless sensor networks used in underground mine. In order to analyze the performance of the IEEE 802.15.4 standard in underground mine, a platform for analyzing wireless sensor network performance is structured, and three typical underground mine simulation scenario of wireless sensor networks are designed. The improvement simulation results prove that the improvement is effective and necessary.
