A test study has been made of ultrahigh-cycle fatigue of high strength steel by means of an ultrasonic frequency of 20kHz with 3 groups of steel(55sc7).The test result shows that fatigue rupture can occur and the fatigue endurance(S-N)continues to reduce with increase of cycles between 106 and 1010C.P.S, the fatigue strength does not increase with increase of vickers hardness and elastic limit,fatigue cracks occur in the interior of testpieces and are caused by inclusions of sulphur and calcium.This result is much different from conventional hypothesis.
