Reviewing the historical process of sports news softening and hardening tendency and researching the historical process from the starting, through content analysis, the paper discussed the over - dissimilated phenomenon of sports news. Summarizing the softening and hardening phenomenon of sports news over the historical background and manifestations, the paper raised the so- lutions for the problem of the balance between hardening new and softing new, and gave a predict to the developing trendency of sports news, that is both hard and soft, spiral development.
