For improving the efficiency and handiness of study on pedestrian head impact, a special head-form sub-model for pedestrian impact is developed. The method of evaluating the applicability of sub-model from three aspects is explored in-depth. By comparing sub-model with original model, the feasibility of the method is ver-ified.
