　　大学生素质拓展工作是一项全面提高大学生综合素质的重要举措，是保证大学生参加工作后能尽快适应社会的重要基础。边疆少数民族地区高校承担着为推动本地区经济社会跨越发展、改变本地区落后面貌培养、输送高素质使用人才的重大责任，但目前边疆少数民族地区由于经济发展滞后、基础设施落后，对大学生的综合素质尤其是生存能力的培养不够重视，素质拓展工作还处在起步阶段，存在导向不明、在整个教学工作中所占分量不够、基础投入不足、开展形式单一等问题。本文以红河学院为例，对边疆少数民族地区高校大学生素质拓展工作进行探索研究，对提高边疆少数民族地区院校大学生综合素质具有十分深远的现实意义。

Quality development of college students is an important measure of improving students comprehensive qualities. For a university in the remote area with minorities, it has a vital responsibility of cultivating talents with high qualities for its local development. However, many problems still exists in some aspects during the carrying out of developing college students’ quality, such as the guiding concept the attention degree, the work procedure, the basic equipment, and the quality training and so on. With Honghe University as a case, this paper will make a study on the carrying out of quality development of the college students in the remote areas with minorities, which will create great significance in improving students’ comprehensive qualities of remote area universities.
