The progress in studied on phase change materials(PCMs) for heat energy storage has been reviewed in this paper. Then a new kind of solid phase change material prepared by our laboratory was introduced in detail. The synthetic method of this kind of material was simply stated. Furthermore the mechanism of phase transformation, the characteristic and the advantage was also discussed. The result shows that the material prepared by our laboratory is a new style phase change material which has great value in use and infinite prospect of development potential and need to do further studies on it.
