在当今的英语教学中,越来越多的研究者提出在以文学为背景的语言交际教学中采用以读者为中心的教学方法,读者反应理论与自我反应理论都致力于激发语言学习者在目的语中的语言输出能力,而读者反应理论在语言教学中显出更多的优势.本文对以读者反应理论和自我反应理论为主的以读者为中心的教学理论作了简要综述,并就如何在以文学为背景的语言教学中运用读者反应理论提出建议.

At present, more and more researchers advocate the reader- oriented theories in literature-based communicative language teaching. They argue that the reader-response theory has more advantages than the personall-response theory, even though both of them are task-based approaches aiming at eliciting learner production of discourse in the target language. This paper provides a brief review of readeroriented theories in language teaching and gives some suggestions on how to apply it in Chinese context of ELT.
