    Based on the AC Stark shifts of atomic level induced by the single- mode quantized field in coherent state and thermal state, the effect of photon statistics on the level shifts is analyzed. These level shifts contain the information of photon statistics, which indicates that statistical property of optical field can be studied by virtue of AC Stark effect of a atom.
