自独立以来,印度便把实现大国理想作为其外交政策的主要目标。冷战结束后,印度根据国内国际形势的变化,实行经济改革和外交政策的调整,奉行全方位的多边自主外交,其中,主要面向东南亚地区的＂东向政策＂取得了巨大进展。服务于印度大国战略的东向政策将有助于印度的势力扩展到东南亚、亚太地区,从而实现印度从亚洲大国到世界大国转变的梦想。

Since the independence,India has put realizing the great power ideal as its main foreign policy target.After the Cold War,according to the changing domestic and international situation,India has carried out the economic reforms and foreign policy adjustment and pursued the omni-direction multilateral independent diplomacy,among which the East-oriented policy,mainly facing the Southeast Asian region,has made tremendous progress.The East-oriented policy serving Indian great power strategy will help India expand its influence to Southeast Asia,Asian-Pacific region,and fulfill India＇s dream to transform an Asian big country to one of the world＇s largest countries.
