以贵州省境市、县和市辖区名为研究对象，对其语源类型进行讨论。该省的市县区名在以地貌为主导划分因素的三区间存在着明显的差异：东部山地丘陵区和黔中丘原盆地区皆以自然因素命名为主，西部高原山地区的命名是以社会政治因素为主导，而历史因素均是非主导因素。

이귀주성경시、현화시할구명위연구대상，대기어원류형진행토론。해성적시현구명재이지모위주도화분인소적삼구간존재착명현적차이：동부산지구릉구화검중구원분지구개이자연인소명명위주，서부고원산지구적명명시이사회정치인소위주도，이역사인소균시비주도인소。
This paper discusses the etymology types of cities, counties and municipal districts in Guizhou province. Marked differences exist in the names of cities, counties and municipal districts in the three areas whose division mainly depends on topographic features： eastern mountain and hill area and Qianzhong downy basin areas are named mainly by natural factors, the dominant factors for the name of western plateau mountain area is socio-political factors, while historical factors are non-dominant.
