A new rapid method for determination of PFOS in PP plastics was reported in this paper. The sample was first cooled in liquid nitrogen and then smashed. The sample was weighed in a crucible and then filled with oxygen and ignited. The released fluorinated surfactant was absorbed using a solution of 3.2 mmol/L Na_2CO_3-1. 0 mmol/L NaHCO_3, and detected by ion chromatography. The method is simple,quick and accurate, and it meets the requirements of related regulations.
