The process of contact oxidation-cavitation air floatation system(CAF)-sand flow filter-sterilization has been used for treating the wastewater at a large-scale tobacco factory in Kunming, in order to make it meet the recycling requirements of the engineering instance. The regenerated water treated has been used to environment-friendly purposes, saving a great amount of fresh water and obtained both economic and social profits. The effluent has been running stably and normally, since its debugging in 2005, the effluent COD<40 mg/L,SS<5 mg/L,turbidity<3 NTU.
