Based on significant development of automobile industry, great progress of automatic press technique for equipment in China, this paper explains the status quo in metal sheet automatic press technique and predicts its tendench from three aspects: press, automatic transfer feeder and robot transfer system. In a couple of years to come, it can be predictdd that the automatic stamping production line will hold the largest market shares in China. Multi-station press system for large body panel would be applied first in some Chinese-foreign joint ventures of automobile enterprises .
