以聚苯醚(PPO)为主要原料,加入高抗冲聚苯乙烯(HIPS)来改善其加工性能;利用无机填料BaSO_4和阻燃剂磷酸酯来改善合金的表面硬度和阻燃性能;采用(苯乙烯/丙烯腈)共聚物(SAN)、(乙烯/丙烯酸)共聚物(EAA)、苯乙烯接枝马来酸酐共聚物(SMAH)三种不同的增容剂来改善PPO/HIPS合金的相容性.结果表明,SAN能够有效地改善合金的相容性;添加15份BaSO_4可以使合金的表面硬度达到3H级;加入8份磷酸酯可使合金的阻燃性能达到V-0级(0.8 mm);添加了各种助剂之后的PPO/HIPS合金能保持较好的耐热性能和力学性能,可用作平板显示器外壳.

High-impact polystyrene(HIPS) was employed to improve the processing performance of polyphenylene ether(PPO); the inorganic filler barium sulfate(BaSO_4) and phosphate ester flame retardant were added to improve the surface hardness and flame retardancy of PPO/HIPS alloy; and the compatilizers such as styrene/acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN), ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer (EAA), styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer(SMAH) were used to improve compatibility of the alloy. The results showed that compatibility of the alloy was improved effectively by SAN; the surface scratch hardness of the alloy reached to 3H class when the content of BaSO_4 was 15 phr; the flame retardancy was V-0(0.8 mm) when the content of phosphate ester was 8 phr; and the alloy could maintain better heat resistance and mechanical properties with the adding of diversified additives. The alloy could be usd to prepare the shell of flat panel display.
