地理国情监测,是对国情基本要素的空间分布特征、空间组合关系、空间分布及组合变化趋势进行动态和连续的监测,并对成因进行分析、变化趋势进行预测的手段和方法的组合。地理国情监测是经济社会发展对测绘地理信息工作提出的新要求。本文介绍了地理国情监测的内涵、技术路线、组织实施方式等,从加快形成全国测绘地理信息的＂一个网、一个库和一个平台＂三个方面详细阐述了地理国情监测工作的重点基础工程,以促进该项工作的业务化、规范化和常态化。
