By establishing a mathematical model for the gas flowing into "U-tube" heat-exchanger,the force acted on the exchanger bulkhead is calculated and the various factors causing the damages to the exchanger are summarized to avoid an overloaded force from acting on the bulkhead and to ensure a safe and stable running.
