The cooling characteristic and thermal performance of the counter-flow type cooling towers are introduced.It has been applied to the transformation of the original cross-flow type cooling towers in Shanghai Wujing Chemical Co.,Ltd.The quantity of cooling water is successfully increased from 2 700 t/h to 3 000 t/h.At the same time,the equilibrium of heat and enthalpy of the cooling tower transformation is calculated and checked.It is known that according to the actual running instances of the transformed cooling tower,the predicted result of the cooling tower transformation has been obtained.
