As the anaerobic phase of anaerobic/aerobic biological treatment, both complete anaerobic and hydrolysis acidification are effectual technique in printing and dyeing wastewater treatment. A comprehensive comparison between complete anaerobic and hydrolysis acidification, concerned about the functional mechanism, operating conditions, removal efficiency of the pollutant, and final product, etc. is carried out. The results show that the complete anaerobic is the best choice as the anaerobic phase of dyeing wastewater biological treatment.
