Automatic steelmaking control system of 120 t converter is introduced in detail, including research thought, making of technical scheme, system upgrade, and implement of key technologies etc. Bottleneck of restricting production under traditional steelmaking pattern was broken. Precise and fast positioning control of oxygen lance system, stable control of blow and pressure of oxygen, manual/auto-matic undisturbed switchover, accurate feeding control of bulk materials, and fast and exact data collec-tion of molten iron scrap and raw materials have been achieved. Therefore, artificial interference in data acquisition was eliminated, hit rate of blowing end point was enhanced greatly, production efficiency was raised, consumption of raw material was reduced, quality of liqiud steel was improved in large scale, and solid technical base was laid for enhancement of competitive power of enterprise.
