作为国家非物质文化遗产，雷剧曾经谱写了可圈可点的光辉一页。但由于时代变化迅速、表演形式单一、宣传力度不够等原因，雷剧的受众日趋老化，影响逐渐弱化。欲保护该文化品牌，需要政府部门、高等院校、媒体、剧作家、演出团体通力协作，以使其迅速中兴与发展。
