Based on the achievements of frost damage prevention technology on hydraulic structure researched by Heilongjiang Province Water Conservancy Science Research Institute in recent 20 years,the basic principle and structural forms are discussed briefly about the fabricated small gate design against forest damage in high-cold area,including the methods of verifying design parameters,compacting soil,maintaining the temperature of foundation,displacing soil,etc.
