With reference of messenger wire cantilever installation inside Fenshuisi tunnel on Dazhou-Wanzhou line, it discusses the variations of temperatures and the expansion of messenger wires within a section from the entrance of the tunnel to point of 780 m inside tunnel, analyzes and calculates the offset values of the cantilevers on all suspension points inside this section, and the conclusion is obtained that the temperatures at the points along the section adjacent to the entrance of the tunnel will be in non-linear variations, and the expansion length of the messenger wires will be in non-linear variations as well
