The difficulties occurred during manufacture of Baosteel 1550 mm large back up roll wereintroduced, as well as the technical counterplot adopted. The manufacturing quality of the rolls showed that this kind of largesteel back up roil up to the strict technical requirements had been successfully manufactured based on the relative basic researchand simulation test.
