The die-casting process of typical auto complicated parts were numerical simulated by CAE technology. The distributions of temperature field and solidification time in the filling process were obtained. Based on the simulated results and the Niyama criterion G/√R , the positions of casting defect were predicted. So it's significant for the application of numerical simulation on optimizing casting process and improving quality of the casting,
