红外图像具有对比度低和信噪比低等特点,实际应用中需要进行增强处理.将小波分析与模糊逻辑相结合,提出了一种基于小波变换的红外图像非线性增强算法.该算法首先利用小波分析对图像进行分解,提取图像的多尺度特征信息;然后通过模糊非线性增强算子分别对各个分解层的子带系数进行运算以改变目标特征的强度;最后利用小波反变换重构图像,实现图像的对比度增强和背景抑制.与几种常用的红外图像增强算法进行了实验对比,验证了该算法的有效性.

Infrared image has the characteristics of low contrast and low signal noise ratio(SNR),which should be enhanced firstly in practical application.By combination of wavelet analysis and fuzzy logic,a nonlinear infrared image enhancement algorithm based on wavelet transform is proposed in this paper.First the image is decomposed by wavelet analysis and then the multi-scale feature information is extracted.Then the multi-layer band coefficients is calculated and regulated by nonlinear enhancement operator to change the intensity of target feature information.Finally the image is reconstructed by inverse wavelet transform to fulfill image contrast enhancement and background suppression.The proposed algorithm is compared with several common used image enhancement algorithms by experiment and its validity is verified.
