In the bidirectional transformation of HFC network, four kinds of access network technology are adopted. This paper analyzes their theories and compares the advantages and disadvantages. Then it suggests that EPON + active EoC is the most suitable network access technology from the aspects ,of cost, bandwidth, scalability and flexibility.
