Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. It is now well recognized as placing a heavy burden on patients and on the health-care system throughout the world. Recently, the study of economic burden of COPD has been increased, and several economic modeling developed. This article reviews the study on economies of COPD these years.
