Reflux condensation is studied in single inverted U-tubes. The experiments are conducted with two different tube lengths: 4. lm and 7.0m. The I. D. of the U-tubes is 20mm. Under the pressure range of 0.1~6.0MPa, steam flow rate of 4~45kg/m2·s and inlet cooling water temperature of 20~196℃, the flow patterns and pressure drop characteristics of reflux condensation are investigated.
