From a new perspective which treats as an integral the colours of traditional local-style dwelling houses,the paper focuses on the formative factors and features of their varied colours.Grounded on the four-season color theory,chromatics,and color geography,it proposes the idea of a color group,discriminates its connotations and denotation.Through various observations,the paper finally analyzes the characteristics of the color groups of the tradition dwelling houses in a great range of regions.
