The present paper deals with the Tricomi problem for second order nonlinear mixed equations with degenerate rank 0. Firstly the formulation of the problem for the equations is proposed, secondly the representation of solutions for the above problem is obtained, finally the existence of solutions for the problem is proved by the successive iteration and the method of parameter extension.
