由于中西方的价值观、民族习惯存在差异,在问候、交流、邀请、赞扬、帮助等跨文化交际场合中,语用失误出现得非常频繁.中西文化在称谓、价值观、禁忌语及思维方式等方面的差异是导致社交语用失误的重要因素.此类差异和失误理应引起英语教师和学习者足够重视.英语教师在训练学生语言技能的同时,尤其要注重增强学生对西方文化的领悟力和敏感性,加强语言实践,提高跨文化交际能力,减少跨文化语用失误.

With the increasing development of intercultural communication,socio-pragmatic failure has been catching the attention of more and more linguists and language teachers.There are kinds of situations such as greetings,talks,invitations,compliments,invitations,helping and farewell when socio-pragmatic failures often occur.And these socio-pragmatic failures normally result from numerous cultural differences in addressing,symbols,values,taboos,and thinking patterns.Teachers should lay emphasis on learners" learning of culture and cultivating their communicative competence so that they can increase the ability of using language appropriately and successfully.
