DC-SIGN and DC-SIGNR are two surface proteins on dendritic cells with complex stmction, and are regarded as attachment receptors of many pathogens, DC-SIGN/DC-SIGNR participate in pathogen infection.Polymorphisms of DC-SIGN/DC-SIGNR probably influence the procedure and outcome of pathogen infection. In this article, the structure and function of DC-SIGN/DC-SIGNR are discussed as well as the relation between the DC-SIGN/DC-SIGNR and pathogens such as HIV, HCV infection, pulmonary tuberculosis, dengue fever.
