当代知识女性在追求婚姻爱情时，面对社会、家庭、工作的多重压力，往往容易陷入对自我的不确定，甚至是否定，她们不得不开始重新审视爱情和人生。赵玫在《秋天死于冬季》中借青冈和虹等一系列女性形象，表达了她内心对于婚恋爱情的深刻认识，爱情中不仅有激情、性爱、情感交融，女性一味的付出真心和牺牲并不能彻底拯救爱情，还需要理性的调节与包融，需要强大精神的有力支撑。

Love is the blend of passion, sex and emotion, but the way of female to completely save love needs rational adjustment, integration and full support of spirit instead of the blind giving and sacrifice.
