With the rapid development of economy, the scales of metallurgical and min-ing industries has been continuously growing and more and more high power high-voltage mo-tors have been used in industrial production, therefore it becomes very important and directly related to the economic performance of the enterprises to ensure the starting and reliable op-eration of these high-voltage motors. Taking some steelmaking plant as an example, the article comparatively analyzes several common starting modes of high-voltage motors.
