This paper firstly introduces the developing trend of compressor and describes the technical feature of scroll compressor. Then taken one heavy truck as an example, it explains in detail the application process of the scroll compressor in the air conditioning system in a Jianghuai heavy truck from the following aspects such as the heating load computing, the matching and checking computations of compressor, and the methods of its test The result shows that the application of the scroll compressor is completely feasible and can improve the performance of vehicle air conditioning system and reduce the cost.
