    The authors report 23 cases (18 boys,5 girls) of tibial lengthening. The patient's age ranged from 8 to 13 years.The indications for tibial lengthening were:(1)A shortening of at least 3cm;(2) One or two groups of leg muscles being of normal power;(3)The skin,muscles and bones of the leg being normal;(4) The general condition of patient being well.
