The research progress in Sb-based alloy anode and Sb-based/carbon composite anode for Li-ion battery was re-viewed. For Sb-based alloy anode, the emphasis was mainly focused on the effects of composition, synthesis method and reaction mechanism on the electrochemical performance. For Sb-based/carbon composite, the influence of synthesis method, the ratio of alloy to carbon and the characteristics of carbonaceous materials were summarized.
