The ratio of active power to reactive power in asynchronous machines was investigated for the asynchronous machine efficiency optimization,and a conclusion was drawn that when the ratio of active power to reactive power was elabo-lately and reasonably chosen,the asynchronous machine could operate with maximal efficiency.Meanwhile control character-istics of the variable-frequency speed regulation for an electrical drive system applied with the reasonable ratio of active power to reactive power were studied.The differences between the conventional principle of "machine operates with maximal efficiency on the condition that the core losses equals to copper losses" and the proposed control principle were also pointed out.
