The systematization, constituent and origin of natural perfume from both animal and plant in cosmetics were reviewed. Meanwhile, the extraction and separation method of natural perfume and preparation method of synthetic perfume were introduced in detail. The major problem of perfume in cosmetics at present was introduced, and the future developmental trend of perfume was prospected.
