作为大学英语教学中的两个重要环节,大学英语作业的设计和评价不但能反映出教学过程中存在的问题,而且还对师生的成长具有重要意义。本文基于多元智能理论提出了在大学英语作业设计与评价中的几点原则,旨在帮助英语教师提升教学水平,帮助大学生提高英语综合应用能力。

The design and assessment of English assignments are the two vital aspects in college English teaching. They not only reflect the problems in English teaching, but also have a significant impact on the deveIopment of both teachers and students. The author attempts to put forward some principles of designing and assessing English assiGments for college students in light of Multiple Intelligences(MI). This article, therefore, intends to provide college English teachers with various suggestive principles of English assignments and corresponding strategies of assessment so that they will be able to improve their teaching as well as accelerating the students' English integrated aoolied abilities.
