The basic situation of mathematical modeling is presented,and the selection and training of mathematical modeling contesters are described.Combined with some concrete practice and exploration of writers in recent years,it is explicitly pointed out that the selection and training of mathematical modeling contesters is of important guarantee to achieve good results,and then some rational suggestions are put forward.
