Antimicrobial polymer as a new type of antimicrobial agent exhibits the perfect antibacterial activity and application prospects,because of its easy controlling structures and muhiplicative synthesis methods.The ways for synthesis of polymers,several factors impacting on the antibacterial activity and the relationship between antibacterial effect and polymer structures were introduced and discussed to provide a reference for the synthesis of the hishest activity antibacterial polymers.The research status and developing trend are also reviewed.
